OVERVIEW

The Faculty of Library and Information Science of Asian International University, Manipur was established in the year 2021, with the objective of providing education and training and produce highly skilled professionals in the field of Library and Information Science. The Department has world-class curriculum, cutting-edge facilities, and fully qualified, experienced faculty members. Students who receive professional competencies have the opportunity to work in a variety of educational institutions' libraries, R&D facilities, corporate settings, archives, publishing companies, and businesses that provide information products and services.

All necessary infrastructure, including a computer lab, smart board, multifunction printers, LAN, Wi-Fi, LCD classroom, tools for classification and cataloging, and an extensive library of text books, reference books, and magazines, are completely furnished in the department. Other facilities offered by the Department include a common area for girls and a separate workspace for research scholars.
