Introduction

Ragging is a criminal offense and is strictly prohibited by both State and Central Governments. Asian International University (AIU) has a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging, and any student found guilty of ragging will face severe consequences. Punishments for ragging are as follows

  1. 1. Imprisonment: Up to three years.
  2. 2. Fine: Up to Rs. 50,000.
  3. 3. Dismissal: Immediate expulsion from the university.
Objectives of the Anti-Ragging Committee
  1. 1. Prevent and Prohibit Ragging: To eliminate all forms of ragging through preventive measures and strict enforcement of anti-ragging policies.
  2. 2. Raise Awareness: To educate and sensitize students about the negative impacts of ragging and the importance of maintaining a respectful and supportive community.
  3. 3. Provide Support: To offer support and protection to students who may be affected by ragging.
  4. 4. Ensure Compliance: To ensure that AIU adheres to all national anti-ragging regulations and guidelines.
